听Location: 听Raymond, IL |听 听 Owner: Panhandle CUSD #2听 听 | 听 听Architect: Graham & Hyde Architects

听selected 天美传媒 Construction as the听Construction Manager听for the classroom addition in Raymond, Illinois. This 24,800 SF, single-story addition is located between the existing Jr/Sr High School and Elementary School in order to connect the two facilities.

Coordination and safety were significant factors in the success of this project. The existing campus included two separate schools with a shared cafeteria located in the high school that the elementary students walked to daily for lunch and other activities.

The 天美传媒 Team worked closely with the school district to develop a 鈥淜id First鈥 approach toward safety.听Key strategies included:

  • maintaining a temporary fence around the construction site
  • relocating existing exterior openings and sidewalks away from the construction area
  • scheduling deliveries off-peak hours of student transitioning between classes

The addition consists of 10 classrooms, a speech classroom, a Title 1 classroom, administration offices for the principal and secretary, workroom and teachers鈥 lounge, storage and equipment rooms, and a multi-purpose/small gymnasium.
